Second homeland – where to obtain the citizenship for investments?
Starting
from 2011, the number of countries selling citizenship for investments increased
to 12 and in general they have received about $ 3 billion.
IMI
employees report that such countries like Greece, Kenya, Albania and Mauritius announced
their gold visa granting programs for foreigners to start in the near future. And
this is certainly what’s worth special attention!
Greece is
very promising country in terms of belonging to European Union and its
government has already introduced significant tax benefits, as well as
increased the number of facilities in which foreigners can invest their money.
African
Kenya is also an attractive country for investment, but it is just getting ready
to march into play. Albania, a country with the most rapidly increasing economy
in Eastern Europe, inspired by the successful example of Montenegro took the
same path. The island state of Mauritius launched its investment program in
June 2019 to be able to redeem national debt.
At the same
time, the economies of these countries are quite vulnerable, and therefore the
launch of programs for issuing permanent residence permits or citizenships for
investments can significantly improve their financial situation.
