Good news for those willing to have a roof over a warm corner in Norway. This Scandinavian country of fjords and elves will permit dual citizenship starting from January 1, 2020. This means that being a foreign resident you will no longer have to renounce the citizenship of your home country when applying for citizenship in Norway. The same refers to Norwegian citizens, who want to obtain citizenship of another state without losing their Norwegian passport. Advantages of obtaining Norwegian citizenship is enough and some to spare: constantly growing real estate market with its high prices and considerable earning power, stable economy and tremendous nature. Obviously, it can give a boost not only to domestic property market, but also to raise interest of investors of the neighboring countries like Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Think of it, when searching for a home-run market to invest in. This is a reliable way to save and greatly increase your fortune.

According to Jan Ture Sanner, Minister of Education and Integration this complies with constantly growing level of globalization and integration, when more and more people have connections with more than one country around the world. In this way, Norway just meets the requirements of present-day practices. The government approved this decision on November 1 of this year.

Another welcome news is that Norwegians, who previously renounced their citizenship to obtain a passport of another country can now be offered a simplified scheme for restoring the citizenship of Norway back again.

So, why not to try luck and who knows where you can find yourself after a little while.
