French Citizenship Recognized Best in the world according to Kälin and Kochenov’s Quality of Nationality Index (QNI). QNI includes a variety of factors among which are: he scale of the economy, the development of cooperation in society, public order and stability, etc.

France holds first place in QNI ranking for eight years in a row. The country scored 83.5% of the possible 100%, outrunning Germany and the Netherlands, which took second position with 82.8%. France gained superiority over the others due to its former colonies and a greater number of countries in which its citizens are free to settle.

Top 10 countries with the best citizenship according to the Quality of Nationality Index:

2.       Germany and the Netherlands 82.8%

3.       Denmark 81.7%

4.       Norway and Sweden 81.5%

5.       Iceland 81.4%

6.       Finland 81.2%

7.       Italy 80.7%

8.       Great Britain 80.3%

In addition, the first non-European country in the list is the USA (70%), which goes 25th and Japan (58.4%) right behind. In case of “hard” Brexit, the UK can topple out of top 10 and go to the same group with China (56 position with a score of 44.3%). UAE reached 42nd place - the country's best position for all time.

Somalia - 13.8%, 159th place, Afghanistan - 15.4%, 158th place and South Sudan - 15.9%, 157th place act as underdogs of the rating.
