A house worth of 1 euro in Italy
Have you
ever wanted or dreamed of living in a picturesque region somewhere in the
southern part of Italy? Since recently, your dreams can come true.
In the
Italian commune of Bizaccia, in the province of Avellino, local authorities began
to sell historic buildings for only one euro. In total, they plan to send to
the hammer 90 houses in the village, reports CNN travel. It is even cheaper
than the price of a cup of coffee there.
It’s simple
to discern real causes and motive for act – in that way local authorities want
to encourage people to move to help save and revive dying communities. Thus, only
one thing is required from buyers - to repair the acquired buildings.
The deputy
mayor of the city, Francesco Tartaglia, notes that the locals are very friendly
and any help will be provided to newcomers here.
“We want
this place to shine again” the official said.
